About the Position

We are seeking a Local CDL A Driver for a seasonal position from May to October, with the possibility of temp-to-hire for exceptional candidates. This role involves hauling fruits and vegetables to various customers including Food Lion, Harris Teeter, and local grocery stores.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay Rate: $25 per hour
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours
• Schedule: Monday to Saturday, with possible day off during the week
• Dispatch Time: Between 4 AM and 7 AM, average dispatch at 5 AM

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Touch freight (fruits and vegetables)
• Equipment: Manual transmission truck
• Handling: Unloading with pallet jack; approximately half of pallets will need to be broken down into multiple orders
• Stops: 5 to 10 stops per day

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain signed BOL/invoices at deliveries and pickups
• Handle cash for COD customers and return it to the office
• Deliver to locations in Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia, Eastern Tennessee, and Eastern Kentucky

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
