About The Position
Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Shift: 4x10 Days 0700-1730; with exception of rotating Saturday. Those hours would be 0730-1600 (8 hr shift) with additional day off same week. Unplanned absences are subject to being made up on different day same week, as applicable and at managers discretion. Yes, within service line and scope Floating Req to Sister Facilities: (Y/N): No Locals accepted: No - 75 mile radius Pending State License accepted: Yes RTO Restrictions: No more than 7 days Guaranteed Hours: 40 Special 10 hr day shifts (0700-1730) with rotating day off each week. Will participate in fair rotation of SAT coverage, with additional day off during week, as well as holiday rotation coverage for pre/post holiday shifts. Unplanned absences are subject to being made up on different day same week (including SAT), as applicable and at managers discretion. Patient age group: Adults, Geriatrics BLS required RDCS-Adult preferred EPIC charting experience preferred Our fully IAC-accredited complex inpt/outpt echocardiography lab supports advanced protocols and pathologies for a large academic medical campus, and requires minimum of 5 yrs experience, preferably including inpt setting. RDCS credential STRONGLY PREFERRED, but will consider RCS with strong experience. High daily volume demands require critical thinking, strong time management, and physical endurance. Agency staff will not participate in stress testing or TEE coverage. Schedule will consist of four 10 hr days with rotating day off each week, and fair participation in Saturday rotation, as well as pre/post days Vascular experience not needed nor counted towards required 5 yrs echo experience. Vascular is a separate department than ours and is not applicable to our staffing needs. Male travelers must maintain beard/facial hair restrictions for successful FIT testing. Strongly prefer left handed scanning due to set up of rooms and based on ergonomic recommendations. Work setting experience preferred: outpatient, inpatient, ER, Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital General Skills Experience required: PACS General Skills Experience preferred: Portables, Biopsies Other Skills required: GE, Bubble Study, Contrast Agents, M-Mode Other Skills preferred: Vascular-Arterial, Phillips, 3/D Echo, RIT/RVOT, LVAD, ECMO turn down, Congenital. If you are working a straight night shift: If you are working straight night shift, there is no charge for parking, and you may park in the employee parking (you will receive parking information during orientation). If you will be working a day/night rotation: you will have to obtain a parking pass for which there is a $70.00 fee per month.
