This locum tenens opportunity seeks a board-certified or board-eligible interventional cardiologist to cover a Delaware clinic and hospital from August to October 2018. The role involves performing interventional cardiology procedures such as angioplasties and catheterizations, managing 12-15 clinic patients daily, and responding to hospital emergencies including ICU care. The position requires an active Delaware medical license and offers support with credentialing, malpractice, housing, and travel expenses.

The Interventional Locum Tenens Opportunity in Delaware:-Start date: august 6, 2018-Duration: August 2018 through October 2018 (possibility of extension)-Reason for need: one of the Cardiologists is taking leave-Clinic Monday Friday; the facility breaks up the week so that they do not have the same cardiologist in the clinic for the entire week-Shift times: 8:30a 4:30p-Call every 3rd weekend; possible night call-Average of 12-15 scheduled patients per day in clinic; up to 6 consults per day in hospital-No mid-level coverage-EMR: Cerner/Allscripts in clinic and Powerchart in hospital-3 exam rooms in clinic-100% adult (50% of that is geriatric)-Facility has 10 ICU beds (120 beds total)-Must be able to respond to house codes-Procedures: Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, PCI, Heart Catheterization, Valves, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic protection, Carotid artery stenting, medical management of vascular disease, TEE Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency, hold an active Delaware medical license, TEE Cardioversion experience, ACLS, BLS, DEA Assistance with credentialing Malpractice, Housing, Travel - PAID Sending an updated CV will be most effective in finding the right opportunity.
