A board-certified Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician providing PRN services including non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments primarily for Veterans. The role involves interview-based evaluations with physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, focusing on general medicine and traumatic brain injury without prescribing or treatment. Flexible scheduling options include travel assignments and working within personal practice, requiring proficiency in musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiovascular assessments, and use of specialized tools like goniometers.
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Clarksville, TN - per diem available - Must be within 50 miles
1099 compensation:
-$750 for half day (4 hours)
-$1600 for full day (8 hours)
-$650 for completing all required training and starting assignment
Details:
- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Two (2) options for coverage - Travel and perform exams at VES leased facility and/or schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Option to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)
- One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- Quick credentialing & onboarding
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
