Job DescriptionWe are looking to fill an immediate need for a dual modality CT/X-ray technologist to cover a 37.5-hour weekly schedule. The CT Tech will maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust while demonstrating proficiency in the performance of Cat Scan Imaging Exams.
Responsibilities- Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered according to established policies and procedures.
- Prepare or enter written documentation as required by the department, including informed patient consent and patient chart documentation.
- Observe sterile and aseptic techniques when necessary and maintain the cleanliness of work areas.
- Assess the physical needs of adult and geriatric patients, addressing their fears and apprehensions about exams.
- Complete requested examinations in a timely manner, observing radiation safety standards.
- Check equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis.
- Demonstrate ability to accommodate patients with special needs.
- Perform related duties in PACS and ensure compliance with established hospital policies and procedures.
- High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
- Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology.
- NYSDOH License Required.
- ARRT Certification Required.
- BLS certification from AHA is required.
- Must be computer literate and able to operate equipment as directed.
