The Medical Director of Geriatric Medicine will lead and oversee healthcare services for elderly patients within a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Responsibilities include supervising clinical staff, managing quality assurance programs, developing medical policies, and ensuring comprehensive care for frail elderly patients. The role requires board certification in Internal or Family Medicine, geriatric expertise, leadership experience, and relevant medical licensure and certifications.

Job Responsibilities:- Provide general medical direction and supervision of participant care.
- Oversee clinical outcomes and the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Supervise Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Conduct interviews and evaluations for program applicants and their caregivers.
- Lead interdisciplinary team meetings and facilitate family conferences.
- Provide ongoing education to participants and families regarding health maintenance.
- Ensure effective physical assessment and chronic disease management for elderly patients.
- Participate in provider on-call rotation as necessary.
- Maintain strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (REQUIRED).
- Fellowship training or Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with the frail elderly population (REQUIRED).
- Previous supervisory experience (REQUIRED).
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other relevant software.
- Excellent organizational, customer service, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Indiana license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED.
- Clean Malpractice history (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
- CDS Certification by start date - REQUIRED.
- DEA Verbal Confirmation by start date - REQUIRED.
- BLS Certification by start date - REQUIRED.
