American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of cath lab and EP experience and current ARRT and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is in a cardiac cath lab within an acute care hospital setting
- The department includes 3 cath labs with a daily average of 15-18 cases
- Work involves both cath lab and electrophysiology (EP) procedures
- Primarily treats cardiology patients
- Job includes scrubbing and documenting cases, stocking rooms, assisting physicians with EP procedures, and monitoring/circulating EP cases
- Equipment and systems used include EPIC EMR, Toshiba, Carto, and Abbott EP recording systems
- Candidates will work four 10-hour rotating shifts between 6:00am-4:30pm or 9:00am-7:30pm
- Call is required weekdays, weekends, and holidays with a 30-minute response time
- Role is limited to cath lab and EP; no floating to other units
- Scrub duties, assist with and document all EP procedures, stock rooms, and monitor/circulate within EP
- Candidates are required to be able to use an EP recording system and assist with advanced cardiac device work
- OR scrubs are provided daily
- Unit-specific orientation is provided
- Call responsibilities extend from 4:30pm to 6:00am
- Holiday coverage is required
- Candidates who have worked as perm staff or travelers at this facility must have a 2-year break before being eligible to return
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a cardiac cath lab with electrophysiology procedures
- Current ARRT certification (ARRT (R), ARRT (CI), or ARRT (VI) accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- State radiologic technologist license required if applicable
- Experience with Impella, IABP, INARI, electrophysiology procedures, PVC, PT, cryo/transeptal ablations, laser lead extractions, device work, and EP recording systems
- Experience using EPIC EMR and listed EP equipment
- Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility to be eligible
