Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for urgent locum tenens shifts in a remote community hospital above the Arctic Circle, serving a primarily Native Alaskan population. Requires active unrestricted state medical license, board certification in Emergency Medicine, and ability to work independently in resource-limited settings. The role offers 12-hour shifts with full travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage for November and December assignments.
Urgent: Need EM Physicians in Northern Alaska for Nov & Dec shifts; Any State License
Location: Northern Alaska, above the Arctic Circle; Remote wilderness area; very rural, primarily native Alaskan population Setting: Community Hospital; Very Challenging / Highly Rewarding Dates Needed: ER Days:
If provider DOES HAVE Alaska license: treated as any locums provider If provider DOES NOT HAVE Alaska license: treated as employee of the client; They will work as a Relief provider, going through the HR hiring/credentialing process as a Relief (temporary) employee. This means they are not a 1099 employee, and taxes, etc. will be deducted from their checks. The Day shifts must be filled within the next 10 days!The December night shifts must be filled by November 1st.

- Must arrive on October 31; Orientation November 1-2, ER November 3-7

- There is a great possibility for extended work with this client for those willing to work the Nov/Dec shifts!
- Active, unrestricted License (NO suspensions or loss of license) ANY STATE
- Clean DEA & NPDB (NO current suits, unresolved cases, large payouts)
- Board Certified EM
- Able to work solo, with limited resource, highly confident
- Committed to serving rural/tribal/underserved populations
