Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will be responsible for caring for patients with various medical and surgical conditions, ensuring optimal care while working efficiently with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care for stable patients in the medical-surgical and telemetry unit.
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret dysrhythmias effectively.
- Manage and administer IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care, and cardiac drips.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
- Float to accommodate patient needs to other medical-surgical units, ED boarders, and stable ICU patients when required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
- Valid New York state nursing license is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
