Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with at least two years of acute care experience and SLP certification for a day shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care setting on a dedicated speech pathology unit
• Typical schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• Weekend shifts approximately once per month, either 8:00 am to noon or until 2:00 pm
• No floating or on-call requirements
• EPIC used for electronic charting
• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, or feeding disorders
• Follow a dress code of grey pants and a navy shirt
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius; no local travelers permitted
• Former employees of any WVU Medicine location must have a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers cannot work within WVU for longer than one year without a subsequent 2-year break

Requirements

• Active SLP certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• At least 2 years of experience as a practicing Speech Language Pathologist
• Acute care experience required
• License required if applicable
