University-employed Inpatient Physiatrist/PM&R physician position in Tyler, TX, primarily clinical (80%) with administrative/leadership responsibilities and opportunity to serve as or grow into Medical Director of a 49-bed rehabilitation center. Position includes faculty teaching opportunities, weekday schedule with 7 days/month call, daily patient load of 16–20, benefits including salary + wRVU incentive, loan assistance, CME, malpractice coverage, relocation, and state benefits. Candidate must understand inpatient rehabilitation compliance/regulations and provide compassionate care to complex patients within an interdisciplinary team using Epic EMR.

Job description Faculty position employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine, practicing in UT Health East Texas facilities.

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a dynamic Inpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician to join and lead our expanding rehabilitation team at the 49-bed UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Center in Tyler, TX. This is a uni que opportunity to join as Medical Director, or to step into a leadership-track role with support to grow into the Medical Director of our inpatient rehab program.

Knowledge of compliance and regulations surrounding inpatient rehabilitation is paramount. The ideal candidate will have a collegial growth mindset and the ability to provide high-quality and compassionate care to complex patients.
