Job Description

The IMCU Charge/Manager RN will be responsible for leading and coordinating nursing care for patients in the Intermediate Care Unit. This role requires a dedicated nursing professional with experience in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with varying diagnoses, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.
• Supervise nursing staff and ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo.
• Assist with care for patients on chronic vents, collaborating closely with respiratory therapy.
• Adapt and float to various patient care areas as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU nursing.
• Travel experience is required.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Active NY RN license and verification from NURSYS report.
• 2 recent references from IMCU Charge/Manager RNs.
• Skilled in using EPIC EMR.
