Coverage: Monday-Friday, Inpatient + Outpatient
Specialty Focus: Surgical Oncology - Hepatobiliary / Pancreatic (HPB)
Schedule
Standard Day Shift (5 8): 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Full-time role based in Minneapolis
Provides both inpatient and outpatient care
Assists in the OR when needed (patient prep, assisting during surgery, closure)

Role Overview
The NP/PA will provide independent outpatient care and inpatient surgical oncology support. Responsibilities include care coordination, pre- and post-operative management, collaboration with surgeons, and procedural tasks such as wound care and drain care/removal.
Job Duties
Clinical Care
Perform comprehensive patient assessments
Diagnose and treat illnesses within scope
Order and interpret diagnostic testing
Prescribe medications, therapies, and equipment
Provide patient education (chronic illness management, wellness care)
Refer to specialty care as appropriate
Consult with attending physician when outside scope or unclear
Care Team Participation
Communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team
Act as a clinical resource to staff
Partner with primary care teams on program development
Serve as liaison with outside agencies
Round and consult on hospital patients as designated
Other Duties: As assigned
Requirements
Active Minnesota License - Required
NP or PA with surgical oncology experience preferred (HPB focus)
