American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring a NE or compact license, ACLS/BLS certifications, and cardiac cath lab expertise.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital Cardiac Cath Lab and EP lab
- Trauma Level I environment
- Patient population includes LHC with PCI, peripheral vascular cases, structural heart conditions, pacemakers, and ablations
- Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 0730-1600, with 8-hour day shifts plus on-call requirements
- Self-scheduling available with manager approval
- Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays (24-hour coverage)
- Use of Siemens equipment in 4 rooms (2 cath labs, 2 EP labs)
- Epic charting system is used
- Float required to all campuses with Cath/EP lab as needed
- Perform cardiac cath, peripheral vascular, structural heart, pacemaker, and ablation procedures
- No charge nurse taking assignments on this unit
- Must be willing to float across multi-campus cath/EP labs if needed
- Orientation includes 12 hours and testing on clinical skills
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Holiday and 24-hour call coverage are required
- RTO must be requested upfront (maximum 7 days per 13-week assignment); additional RTO not permitted after submission
- Must provide two professional references (one supervisor from the last 12 months, one peer or supervisor from within 3 years)
- Strict adherence to the facility's fingernail policy required
- Active NE or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab RN experience
- Experience with Siemens cath lab equipment preferred
- Experience working in a Trauma Level I setting strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Driver’s license required for residency radius verification (must live at least 50 miles from facility)
- Candidates may not be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
- Must pass an open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
