• Facility Type: Short-term acute care hospital, Level III Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry (3VP)
• Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/12/2026 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: All contracted shifts guaranteed after 2 shift call-off policy per assignment
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Royal blue and white

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Must pass advanced EKG exam as part of compliance
• Travel nurses must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• No background or license hits within the last year

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms; respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
• Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations
• Participate in ongoing professional development and hospital training modules
