Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Trauma Surgery nurse practitioner or physician assistant to work locum shifts in Williamsport Pennsylvania (PA). Starting in March 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.
The Trauma Surgery role:
- Estimated shifts per month: 8-10
- Schedule/Shift Times: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Inpatient coverage for Trauma and Emergency General Surgery service at Level 2 Trauma Center.
- 2 providers needed to cover a mix of days (7a-7p) and nights (7p-7a) for inpatient coverage only Mon-Sun - no call.
- Trauma Level Designation Level II
- APP/Mid-Level Coverage is Available
- AM rounds, followed by OR first assisting, seeing new EGS consults, managing inpatient service,
- seeing/managing trauma activations, and critical care management.
- Candidate must be able to perform bedside procedures like I&Ds, lac repairs, chest tube placement, central line placement. There are 2 APPs staffed during day,
- and 1 APP at night, working in tandem with Trauma/Acute Care Surgeons.
- Candidate Will Work Solo
- EMR / Charting: Epic
- No Call
Requirements of the Trauma Surgery role:
- CSR License Required
- Board Status: Board Certified
- DEA Required? Yes
- State Licensure Pennsylvania
- State License Required to Apply? Yes
- Will you consider IMLC candidates? No
- Minimum # Years Experience 2
- Certifications Required: ACLS;ATLS;BLS;PALS
