Description
Leidos is seeking a highly skilled and versatile professional to serve as both an AWS Systems Engineer and Mission Owner/Project Manager. This dual-role position involves systems engineering and project management responsibilities to support the integration, operations, and sustainment of various operational and in-development systems. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and program management leadership, customers, and agile teams to deliver innovative solutions using desktop, web, and cloud technologies.
This combined role offers a unique opportunity to leverage technical expertise and leadership skills to deliver mission-critical solutions and drive team success. Program Core Hours: 9am-3pm ET. Evening or weekend work may be required approximately twice a month, depending on mission requirements. Schedule changes will be arranged as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform systems administration activities, building Windows instances, performing deployments to multiple dev, test and operational environments, patching, troubleshooting, and working with internal and external development teams as well as enterprise components
Drive product delivery through a deep understanding of customer needs, mission requirements, and product goals.
Validate end-to-end mission upgrades and execution efforts.
Develop team roadmaps and support teams in delivering on commitments.
Define, Plan and prioritize epics, features, stories, and bugs.
Write technical tasks with business value for the customer and track completion of Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Bugs.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, program leadership, and development teams.
Support agile meetings such as daily scrums, retrospectives, and program increment planning.
Collaborate with internal and external development teams and enterprise components.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and maintain operational support.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post-hire.
DoD 8570 compliance.
Experience with cloud/Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
Strong understanding of system design and architecture (hardware, software, and networking).
Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
Strong customer-facing skills and ability to present ideas to various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying GIS technologies, specifically ESRI ArcGIS systems.
Subject matter expertise in AWS cloud technologies (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3 buckets, Reserved Instances).
Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Proven troubleshooting experience.
Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and RocketChat.
Microsoft and/or AWS certifications.
PMP Certification, SAFe Agile Certification, Certified Product Owner, or Certified Scrum Master.
Experience with DevSecOps best practices and tools, including GitLab CI/CD.
Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as CloudFormation, Chef, or Ansible.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $107,900.00 - $195,050.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
