General Job Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of surgeries including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, emergency surgeries, and upper and lower endoscopies, among others.
- Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Be on-call for emergency surgeries, such as trauma cases or unexpected complications.
- Provide consultations to patients and other medical professionals regarding surgical options and care plans.
- Provide patient education about post-operative care and follow-up requirements.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Minimum Education Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training program in surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
License & Certifications:
- Board certification in surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Experience:
