Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring a current NY RN license and EPIC EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU within a critical care float pool
- Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Employment is for a 13-week contract assignment
- Patient population consists of cardiovascular ICU and critical care cases
- Use of EPIC EMR system is required
- Competency testing must be completed for ICU staff, with up to two attempts allowed
- No local candidates from specified counties within a 50-mile radius will be considered
- Blocked scheduling is not permitted
- More than 3 call outs during the contract may result in termination; make-up shifts are required within 6 weeks of the last call out
- Requested time off must be submitted with the application
- Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment
- First-time travelers will be considered if requirements are met
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years recent CVICU experience
- Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
- EPIC EMR experience required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
- US Social Security Number is required
- Flu vaccination required unless a medical exemption is signed by a licensed provider
