This position involves providing comprehensive outpatient primary care services as an Internal Medicine Physician, managing preventive, acute, and chronic conditions. The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive outpatient medical services as part of a collaborative healthcare team, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups.
Core ResponsibilitiesDeliver primary care services with sound medical judgment, independence, and collaboration.
Maintain strong clinical competence, including appropriate referrals, hospital admissions, and prescriptions.
Utilize evidence-based protocols for preventive, acute, and chronic care management.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Document all encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record.
Supervise mid-level providers as needed and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
Participate in on-call, hospital, and nursing home duties as assigned.
Uphold patient privacy, respect individual healthcare choices, and deliver culturally sensitive care.
Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and punctuality.
Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
MD or DO from an accredited institution.
Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in specialty.
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice medicine in Massachusetts.
Prior experience in a primary care or community health setting.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and managed care systems.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical ability to meet the demands of outpatient clinical practice.
