Labor and Delivery Nurse - Night Shift Position
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleNight shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, 3 nights per week.
Job DescriptionThe Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse is responsible for providing care to patients during childbirth and the postpartum period. This role entails monitoring the health and progress of mothers and babies, assisting with labor and delivery processes, and providing support to families during this crucial time.
Responsibilities- Monitor and assess patient health and progress throughout the labor and delivery process.
- Provide support and education to patients and families regarding the birthing process and postpartum care.
- Administer medications and interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, with 3 years preferred.
- Certifications required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring).
- Weekend availability required.
- Travel experience is necessary.
