The Injection Molding Machine Operator is responsible for producing high-quality plastic components by operating and monitoring injection molding machines, performing secondary operations, and ensuring product quality through inspections and adherence to standards. The role involves using various tools and software systems such as SAP and Camline to record production data and maintain compliance. Operators collaborate with technicians and materials handlers, maintain a safe work environment, and follow safety protocols including PPE usage.

2nd shift: 2pm-10pm, Mon-Fri + possible overtime
Pay Range: $21.00-$26.00+ $1.25 Shift Differential
3 months contract with a potential for extension or conversion
Summary
The injection molding machine operator produces a variety of high-quality plastic components from resin pellets that are utilized by both internal and external customers. In this role you will perform a variety of tasks including monitoring and inspecting presses as well as performing second operations such as clipping, gating, or sorting by following Standard Operating Procedures and high-quality standards.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Uses different fixtures to verify that the dimensions of the molded parts are in accordance with quality and work order requirements.
- Performs different operations on molded products using a variety of cutting tools and techniques and by closely following standard operating procedures.
- Safely removes molded parts from the machine conveyor belt or robotic arm by using appropriate protective gear and handling tools.
- Carefully handles molded materials to the oven for baking process.
- Packages finished orders in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper protection and handling.
- Uses SAP and other electronic systems to find, record and generate documentation throughout the production process. Records all output and production data in ERP systems and maintains compliance with all online training and documentation requirements.
- Ensures product is consistent with established specifications through Camline software by utilizing different measuring tools, such as calipers and drop/height indicators.
- Escalates quality issues to supervisor or to quality department as appropriate. Ensures the highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policy, ISO and/or other standards.
- Works with setup technician in the Injection molding department to troubleshoot issues with molding machines and implement any adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with materials handler to ensure inventory replenishment of raw materials for molding machine.
- Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughly and in timely (i.e. Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions etc.). Maintains accurate attribute/variable charts of rejected materials.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures. Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Completes miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
- Understand documentation (ASP, DWG, etc) to ensure the production of quality parts.
- Utilize Stop Work Authority (SWA) for both Safety and Quality as needed.
- At least one (1) year of previous experience working in a manufacturing setting with machine operation
- Assembly experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude is a preferred
- Experience in Cincinnati press with Fanuc robotics or other type of CNC machine a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn at all times while on duty. This includes safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.
