- Seeking a Medical Director to lead its growing team of medical oncologists/hematologists and advanced practice providers
- The Medical Director will be responsible for providing clinical oversight of the group and medical oncology program.
- In collaboration with the cancer program senior leadership team, the Medical Director will lead efforts to increase integration and alignment of medical oncology services across all facilities.
- More specific responsibilities include: - Lead recruitment, retention, mentorship, quality, and growth management for physicians and APP - Represent medical oncology services across the system, both inpatient and outpatient, to other physician groups and to executive leadership of facilities and service lines - Be a major contributor to strategic initiatives for medical oncology - Act as the public face for general marketing, public events, and physician-group relations - Head efforts to integrate, align, and standardize operations - Lead quality and safety program for medical oncology - Ensure physician presence in all medical oncology leadership meetings, clinical decision making - Participate in the development of policies, procedures, continuing education programs, and training of providers and staff - Participate in budget planning and prioritization - In addition to administrative duties, the Medical Director is expected to practice at least 3 days per week in clinic initially Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Candidates must be board-certified in medical oncology
- Minimum of 7 years clinical experience
- Previous leadership experience
