Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring at least one year of recent experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work on a medical-surgical/telemetry floor in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Care for adult patients requiring med/surg and telemetry monitoring
- First-time travelers are accepted
- No more than four days of requested time off allowed per six weeks
- Any time off must be made up at the end of the contract
- Travelers are required to comply with a natural nail policy
- This is a drug and tobacco free workplace
- Holiday coverage is not guaranteed
- Fingerprinting and background check are required before starting
- Do not work over 40 hours per week unless approved by the unit manager
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license
- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Telemetry experience required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (diploma, Associates, or BSN accepted)
- Cannot have been employed by the specified health system within the past 12 months
