Palliative Care opening in Memphis, TN - Visa EligibleLocated in Memphis, TNFull-time; PermanentSeeking BC/BEH1B/J1 Visa SponsoredOverview: - Join an expanding Palliative Care Team with broad integration in a growing health care system that provides opportunities for full scope hospice and palliative care for patients and families. - Join our Palliative Care team currently consisting of: - 4 Board Certified Palliative Medicine Physicians - 6 Certified Nurse Practitioners - 2 Registered Nurses - 1 Licensed Clinical Social Worker - 1 Chaplain - Participate on a large inpatient consult service, currently at two hospitals (600+ & 300+ beds respectively) - Our current hospital penetration (percent of new admits seen by the palliative service) is nearly double the national average - Participate in inpatient and outpatient hospice services by serving as medical directors and associate directors of a growing hospice through a joint venture - Weekend Call for hospice is currently 1:4 weeks (and could change with the addition of a physician) - Participate in maintaining an active Home-Based Palliative Care Program - Participate in educating Palliative Medicine Fellows (3 fellows per year), Medical Residents of multiple specialties (including family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and addiction medicine) as well a 4thyear medical students and nurse practitioners - Participate in expanding to outpatient co-located palliative clinics (with plans to be imbedded in specialty clinics including heart transplant and advanced heart failure, stem cell transplant, ALS and advanced pulmonary hypertension)Comp/Benefits: - Base Salary: $236,000 - Yearly Bonus (after first year) available per quality criteria: $30,000 - Additional stipend available for nurse practitioner oversight up to: $24,000 - Additional income for hospice services: $30,000-$50,000 - Complete benefits package - Relocation Allotment - This is an employed opportunityAbout the location:Fabulous Food, Exciting, Entertainment, Music & Museums Affordable dream homesNo state income tax with low cost of livingSmall town charm with big city amenities and shoppingKid and family-friendly activities such as city zoo, botanic garden, large urban park, children's museumExcellent public and private schools, numerous colleges and universitiesProfessional sports and division I college athleticsAbundant outdoor activities available such as golfing, fishing, and hunting
