American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shifts, 19:00-07:30
- 13-week contract assignment
- Direct patient care and coordination in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the Emergency Department
- Educates patients and families and supervises nursing personnel as necessary
- Responsible for accurate and timely communication with physicians about clinical changes
- Follows EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting protocols
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality
- First time travelers will be considered for this role
- Scrubs or dress code will be specified prior to assignment
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Active and current state RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation required within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of one year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting; Emergency Room experience preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Workplace Violence Prevention certification (DCI/BVP) required, can be completed online
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and BSN preferred
