A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia care across various surgical specialties in a Level 1 Trauma Center hospital setting, working under the direction of anesthesiologists. The role involves managing anesthesia for diverse patient populations, performing advanced airway and line placements, and utilizing EMR systems like EPIC. Candidates must have NBCRNA board certification, relevant state licensure, and at least one year of experience.

Shift Details: 4x10s or 3x12s
Schedule: Full-Time; 7a-5:30p or 7a-7:30p (1/2-hour lunch) ; MUST be available 4 weeks/month
Work Details:
• Support staff: CRNA, Anesthesia Tech, Anesthesiologists. Will be directed by Anesthesiologist (General ratio 1:2 anesthesiologists to 1 CRNA and 1 resident, can be up to 1:4 anesthesiologists to CRNA for low acuity) CRNAs are medically directed, typically 2-1, or 3-1. The Attending usually has a Resident in the other room, so their primary focus is on that room, and on teaching.
• Patients per day: Depends, 1-9/daily
• Patient population/age: All age spans (no Neonatal)
• Department description: CRNA would cover the following: Ortho, Trauma, Vascular, Neuro (No Heart)
• EMR: EPIC preferred
• All providers will be required to work NORA
• Skills required: Intubation, Central Line, Arterial line, Line Placement. Not likely needed to do blocks. No OB.
Practice Setting:
• Hospital (Level 1 Trauma Center)

• State license required: Yes, State of KY open to licensing
• Minimum experience required: 1 yr experience
Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
