Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Long-Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment within a hospital-based LTC setting. The RN will deliver comprehensive resident care, including clinical assessments, treatment administration, coordination with providers, assistance with activities of daily living, and specialized care such as gastrostomy tube management, urinary catheter care, wound VAC operation, CPAP therapy, and respiratory treatments. Flexibility is essential, as shift schedules vary and weekend, holiday, and overtime rotations may be required.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct nursing assessments and implement care plans
- Administer medications and perform required treatments
- Notify physicians/NPs of significant changes or updates
- Admit and discharge residents, ensuring compliance with documentation standards
- Assist residents with ADLs as needed
- Provide care involving G-tubes, urinary catheters, nebulizers, wound VACs, and CPAP
- Document all care accurately in the EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal resident outcomes
- Adhere to infection control, safety guidelines, and LTC regulations
- Adapt to varied shift assignments based on operational needs
- Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start
- Travelers without a HI license must apply immediately upon offer
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Long-Term Care
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 8-hour Day, Evening, and Night shifts
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and required overtime rotations
- Not a bilingual-required role
- Selected candidates must arrive the Thursday prior to the assignment to attend Employee Health on Friday
- Hours and shift preferences are not guaranteed
- Maximum of 3 submissions allowed per job requisition
