Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our expanding team. This new position has been created due to the retirement of two staff members, resulting in an increased number of vacancies and the opening of a third Surgical ICU. The ideal candidate will be flexible and work as part of a team covering a diverse patient population across various units.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients in acute and critical care settings.
- Float to cover various units including NICU, PICU, and emergency department as needed.
- Utilize advanced respiratory equipment and technologies.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tertiary, teaching hospital environment.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred, NRP for NICU.
- Experience in adult acute and critical care, as well as pediatrics, is required.
