Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience
- BLS & ACLS through AHA
- Active NY nursing license
Unit Details
- Beds: 24-bed Step-Down Care Unit (SCU)
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3–4
Patient Population
- Patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and medical-surgical units
- Common patient cases include:
- Post-cardiac procedures
- Stable ventilator weaning
- Continuous telemetry monitoring
