Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with outpatient and pediatric experience for a day shift position in Michigan requiring an active MI license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient setting with some acute care responsibilities
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, four 10-hour days
- One Saturday shift required per month
- No on-call duties
- Primarily serves outpatient and pediatric patient populations
- Delegates tasks to Occupational Therapist Assistants and Aides in accordance with standards
- Evaluates patient function and develops goal-specific treatment plans using assessment data
- Submits and updates written treatment plans as part of care coordination with physicians
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers on treatment, prognosis, and care options
- Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students as needed
- Must not live within 50 miles of the facility due to radius restrictions
- Time-off requests must be made before offer; only up to 5 days can be requested
Requirements
- Active Michigan OT license required
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required
- Experience in outpatient and acute care settings required
- Pediatric occupational therapy experience required
- Recent Epic experience preferred
