Locums, Inc. is recruiting Internal Medicine and Family Practice physicians for long-term and short-term assignments across Georgia with the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities. Physicians will work 8-hour shifts, participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams, and provide medical evaluations, treatment plans, and forensic reports. Candidates must have active Georgia medical licenses, DEA registration, BLS certification, and prefer experience with developmentally disabled patients.
Locums, Inc. is seeking Internal Medicine Physicians/Family Practice Doctors in Georgia for positions statewide with the Georgia Dept. of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). The positions are for long-term placement and short-term coverage in a wide range of facilities. Georgia state licenses are required. About the Opportunity:- 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week. Evening overtime rarely needed. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call on rotating schedule- Period of Performance is current and on-going- Providers will participate in the DHBDD Treatment Teams with nurses, physicians, dieticians, social workers and others to give patients compassionate and comprehensive life improvement services- Providers will evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans; dictate admission and discharge reports, and assist the preparation of examining physician forensics reports for Court or Commitment cases- Locations around the state are: Decatur, Columbus, Savannah and Augusta- Per Diem for lodging and travel will be provided for travel over 50 milesSuccessful Candidates will need:- Current Vaccination/Immunization documentation- Active and unrestricted Georgia State license- Active and unrestricted DEA- Active BLS certification- Experience with the developmentally disabled preferred
