Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN with Emergency Department experience and an active IA or compact license for a flexible assignment covering ED and Med-Surg shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in both the Emergency Department (ED) and Med-Surg units
- Primary shifts include Sunday day and Thursday night in the ED, plus one rotating night on Med-Surg
- Med-Surg shift may fall on weekdays, weeknights, or Saturday day, determined on a 6-week scheduling cycle
- Patient population includes emergency and acute care cases
- Schedule flexibility is required to adapt to rotating coverage needs
- Responsibilities include delivering patient care in both ED and Med-Surg settings based on daily assignment
- Schedule is coordinated on a rolling 6-week basis, offering time for personal planning
- Teamwork and adaptability are essential due to cross-unit coverage
- Candidates should expect a dynamic work environment with varying shift patterns
Requirements
- Active IA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience, preferably in ED or with significant EMS background
- Current CPR certification required
- Other specialty certifications may be required based on assignment
- Verification of licensure and certifications must be provided
