CVICU Travel Nurse Job Details- Location: Camden, NJ 08103 – Close to Philadelphia, ideal for New Jersey and Pennsylvania healthcare professionals
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: February 2, 2026
- End Date: May 4, 2026
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,628 – $2,700
- Floating: Required within 5 hospitals in the system (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or critical care nursing experience (within last 12 months)
- Experience with open heart recovery and post-operative cardiac patients
- Proficient in managing advanced cardiac devices: balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella, ECMO
- Active New Jersey or Compact Registered Nurse license (must be valid at submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (must not expire within 30 days of assignment start)
- NIHSS certification preferred
- EPIC EMR charting experience required
- Must pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing (PC only; two attempts permitted)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Willingness to float and work every other weekend/holiday
- First-time travel nurses accepted but experienced travel RNs preferred
- Must wear navy blue scrubs
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult cardiac surgery and complex cardiovascular patients
- Operate and monitor advanced cardiac devices: balloon pumps, LVADs, Impella, ECMO
- Interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Administer emergency medications and blood products as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, and social services
- Float to other critical care units within the hospital system as required
- Accurately document patient care in EPIC electronic medical records
- Maintain infection prevention and isolation protocols
- Complete orientation, required modules, and labs promptly
