About the Role: (PART TIME-TWO DAYS PER WEEK)
Performs in collaboration with appropriate clinical personnel, participates in the coordination of clinical practice activities in the office through the development and implementation of educational and orientation programs and clinical problem solving. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient. Works in partnership with other staff members and physicians to proactively identify and provide for patient needs in accordance with LBH customer service standards and expectations along with The Joint Commission's standards and expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical support and coverage
- Triage and patient communication
- Clinical procedures-assist with in-office procedures
- Patient and family education
- Prior authorizations-complete advanced level prior authorizations, track renewals
- Medical Assistant oversight and clinical resource
- Practice improvement and evidence based care-identify practice gaps/worklfow challenges and propose solutions and partner with leadership to implement updates
- Vendor coordination
- School forms and documenation-oversee completion of school related forms and ensure accuracy and timely turnaround
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience
- License/Certification: Registered Nurse License in the State of Maryland, American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR
- Position located at Sinai Hospital and potentially Quarry Lake location
