Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with at least 1 year of experience, AHA ACLS/BLS certifications, and an active SC or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based Cath Lab environment with 2 lab rooms
- Handles adult cardiac cases including implant closure devices, diagnostic caths, right heart cath, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, baseline measurements, cardioversion, conduction studies, pacemaker insertion, and AICD insertion/programming
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekends or on-call required
- Potential to float to similar units as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation from the system before being eligible as a traveler
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a reduced rate
- All requested time off must be declared at application; extended requests or holiday RTO require facility approval
- Mandatory completion of online modules prior to start, averaging 4 hours
- Employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
- Professional attire or hospital-approved scrubs required
Requirements
- Active SC or multi-state compact RN license required at contract start
- Minimum 1 year of clinical RN experience
- Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Ability to provide a radiation badge through agency
- Experience with cardiac procedures such as ablation and device implantation
- Epic EMR documentation skills preferred
- SSN and driver’s license required for consideration
