Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on the Cardiac Unit with night shifts and advanced cardiac care requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on the 4East Cardiac Telemetry Unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Required to work one major holiday per assigned period, including Thanksgiving or Christmas and New Year's
- Floating to all acute care units as needed
- Care for cardiac patients, including those post-procedure and on cardiac drips
- Experience with TR Bands and cardiac medication drips such as Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem, Butamax, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation required
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Attendance at a structured orientation, including main campus, unit-specific, Director of Nursing, and Epic EMR training
- Must work in a nicotine-free facility
- Must participate in all required aspects of orientation and training
- Holiday coverage required per unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Bi-weekly pay periods
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with post-procedure TR Bands, advanced cardiac drips, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation required
- Preferred 2-5 years of telemetry experience
