An Emergency Medicine Physician is needed onsite to provide emergency care including diagnosis, resuscitation, and management of a wide range of acute medical conditions for approximately 80 patients daily. The role requires board certification, relevant licensure, advanced life support certifications, and the ability to perform emergency procedures such as ventilation management and minor surgical interventions. The position involves shift work with full departmental support and use of Cerner EMR in a hospital emergency department setting.

Clinical Details:
- Patients per day: Approximately 80, with 1.8 patients per hour for physicians
- Support Staff: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for 12 hours, full Emergency Department support with nursing and tech, full radiology, full lab
- EMR: Cerner
- Procedures/Skills: Adult Outpatient, Pediatric-General Outpatient, Newborn resuscitation, Orthopedic-Non-displaced fractures, Suturing of minor lacerations, Incision & Drainage, Psychiatric-Uncomplicated adult, Psychiatric-Uncomplicated child/adolescent, Psychiatric-Uncomplicated geriatric, Diagnosis & management of common industrial-related medical problems, Ventilation management-establishing & maintaining an airway; various modes of ventilation for up to 24 hrs w/o pulmonary consultation, Evaluation & management of acute volume/BP issues, Central Line, Arterial Line, EKG Interpretation, Arthrocentesis, Lumbar puncture, Paracentesis, EM related procedures
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine
- Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with a minimum of 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Active Michigan License
- Certification Requirements: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- ABEM or ABOEM only the ATLS is required
- FM/IM are required to have both ACLS & ATLS
- Provider must be local
- Must have a clean background
