The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for safely transporting elderly and physically limited participants of the PACE program using specially equipped vehicles when needed. The role requires defensive driving and passenger assistance training, with experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs preferred. This position supports the health and independence of vulnerable older adults by facilitating their access to essential services and care.
Description
$3,000 hiring bonus for eligible external candidates that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
The Transportation Coordinator picks up and delivers geriatric, frail and/or physically limited PACE participants to and from their destinations in regular or specially equipped vehicles, depending upon the individual geriatric participants needs.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Successful completion of defensive driving and passenger assistance training courses within 3 months of hire.
- Driving is a necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
- 5 years of Driving experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
- 2 years of Driving experience, which includes:
- Driving a large passenger van or small bus.
- 2 years of experience transporting people with special needs.
- 1 year of experience in transporting individuals with special mobility needs.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
