Endocrinologist Division Chief Opportunity
This medical school located in a great community on the Gulf Coast is seeking a full-time, board-certified clinician to lead the Division of Endocrinology. The Division of Endocrinology focuses on specialty care of patients with endocrine system diseases and disorders. Our current practice is comprised of three endocrinologists and three advanced practice providers. The combined efforts of our providers and staff are recognized by the ADA Education Recognition Program. The next leader will further discovery and innovation while advancing the care of patients with diabetes and metabolic disorders.
In addition to leadership expectations, we seek applicants with an understanding of the medical, educational, clinical, and administrative issues for internal medicine residents and 1st-4th year medical students at a small medical school. Providers will assist with inpatient endocrine care management (both independently and with residents) and outpatient clinical activity. Providers may be asked to assist with inpatient general internal medicine teaching services at our hospital as well. Successful applicants will assist with the residency program needs and quality improvement programs. There are expectations for career advancement through the academic promotions process.
