We are in search of a Permanent, Full-Time Nurse Practitioner for Madison County, Illinois. The region is located in the Southwestern area of the State, close to St. Louis
The ideal Provider will be licensed to practice medicine in Illinois and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working as an FNP.
Location: Madison County, Illinois
Job Type: Permanent / Full-Time
Shifts: days: M-F. No weekends / No call.
Responsibilities:
- Order/perform selected diagnostic tests and procedures as indicated by the patient's condition such as obtaining complete health histories, accurate physical examinations, and administering treatment plans in collaboration with the practicing Physician.
- The Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for initiating treatment for patients with commonly occurring health problems
- Order/perform selected diagnostic tests and procedures as indicated by the patient's condition
- Prescribe approved medications as outlined by the state regulatory act
- Instructing individuals and/or families about health or defined health problems as well as communicating the plan of care while maintaining privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guideline
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment while performing tests, treatments, and procedure
- Use Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Active Nurse Practitioner license to practice in IL
- Current CPR/BCLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Prior Primary Care/Nursing Home/Skilled Facility Experience is required
