Unit Specifics: Cost Center: 650 MICU · Number of Beds : 31 · Patient Ratios : 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity/staffing · Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : unit secretary staffed during dayshift. Occasional nurse extern working as a tech. · Type of equipment: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000. · Documentation system: Meditech · Scheduling requirements: Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Schedule is done in 4 week increments. Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule. · Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float. If the staffing need is in med/surg, contract labor is expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment.
