Legal Advisory & Compliance
- Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements including subcontractor agreements, supplier contracts, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Advise on employment law matters and support HR initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including those pertaining to the construction industry.
- Develop and maintain corporate policies and procedures.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage the contract lifecycle process.
- Support merger and acquisition activities, including due diligence and integration.
- Advise on intellectual property matters including trademark and copyright protection.
- Handle real estate transactions and lease negotiations.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel and coordinate legal spend.
- Partner with business teams to identify and mitigate legal risks.
- Provide training to employees on legal and compliance matters.
- Support business development and project initiatives from a legal perspective.
- Advise executive leadership on corporate strategy and governance matters.
- Manage litigation and disputes in coordination with external counsel.
- Handle construction-related legal matters including lien issues, bond claims, and project disputes.
Position Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- 2–5 years of experience practicing law, with preference for candidates with law firm experience.
- Active bar admission in Georgia or eligibility for admission to the Georgia Bar.
- Strong background in corporate law, commercial transactions, or business law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in construction law or the construction industry.
- Background in mergers and acquisitions.
