Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work alternating day and night shifts with block scheduling
• Patient ratios of 1:3 during days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• May float to PCU assignments in ICU when needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CKD, ESRD, DMII, CHF, COPD, GIB, and post-operative conditions
• Manage long-term ventilators and tracheostomies
• Use Pyxis medication system and Cerner documentation system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI
• Must wear navy blue scrubs
• 2 years of nursing experience required (may consider less based on experience)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must obtain Alaska license prior to starting (compact accepted at submittal)
• Minimum 100-mile radius rule applies
• Complete billable modules (4-5 hours) onsite during orientation and annually via HealthStream
