Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry position on night shift requiring at least one year of experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Position is on a 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry floor
- Shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts per week (18:45-07:15)
- Patient ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4
- Patient population includes complex cases such as stroke, chest pain, post-PCI, and open-heart surgery patients
- Work in a comprehensive stroke center and Level II Trauma facility
- Epic EMR experience is required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved
- No RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Must provide excellent nursing care to patients with high acuity needs including post-cardiac intervention
- Standard clinical dress code applies
Requirements
- Active ID or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current valid state RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
- Former permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility
