Home Health RN Job Details

• Job Title: Registered Nurse – Home Health (Travel Contract)
• Location: Elkins, West Virginia 26241
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• Schedule: Day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• On-Call: 1–2 weekdays per week and 1 weekend per month (rotating among 4 RNs)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000–$2,050
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active West Virginia or Compact RN license (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (home health nursing experience preferred)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Ability to provide 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered)
• Must reside more than 100 miles from facility (exceptions for 75–100 miles)

Home Health RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult patients in their homes
• Conduct an average of 6 patient visits per day, managing a diverse caseload
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 patient support
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Document all patient interactions and care provided according to agency protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and self-care techniques
