Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, project managers, and key stakeholders.
Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for fire sprinkler projects based on blueprints, specifications, and job site assessments.
Conduct site visits as needed to evaluate scope and gather essential data for estimating.
Lead project walkthroughs and collaborate with the design and operations teams to ensure accurate bidding.
Submit proposals and manage bid follow-up communications.
Negotiate contracts and close sales while maintaining profit margins.
Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Stay informed about market trends, code changes, and competitor activity.
Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and client communications in the company CRM.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, within the fire sprinkler industry is required.
High school diploma or GED required; further technical education or NICET certifications a plus.
RME (Responsible Managing Employee) certification is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of fire protection systems, NFPA standards, and construction processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work well within our team, as well as with our clients.
Proficient with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and basic digital tools.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
