Emergency Medicine Physician Job Details
- Location: Du Bois, PA
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- End Date: March 2, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts: Minimum 8-10 shifts per month (blocked days required for travelers)
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts available)
- Weekly Hours: Approximately 36 hours/week
- Practice Setting: Hospital Emergency Departments (multiple locations, including Level II trauma centers and critical access hospitals)
- EMR System: Cerner
- Patient Population: All ages neonates to geriatrics
- Support Staff: Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and nursing teams
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required for most Pennsylvania locations)
- Active state medical license (IMLC accepted; Pennsylvania medical license highly preferred)
- DEA license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in emergency medicine
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Willingness to float to multiple hospital locations and cover various shift types
- Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages in hospital emergency departments
- Stabilize and manage trauma, medical, and surgical emergencies
- Perform emergency procedures including intubations, central lines, chest tubes, and code response
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including APPs, nurses, and specialists
- Accurately document patient care in the Cerner EMR system
- Adapt to the needs of each facility, including Level II trauma centers and critical access hospitals
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain clear communication with team members
