Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring strong neuro experience and a GA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Neuro ICU and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) within a hospital setting
- Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
- Floating between Neuro ICU and stepdown IMCU is a possibility
- Cares for neurological critically ill and stepdown patient populations
- No on-call responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for neuro critical care and stepdown patients
- Floating between Neuro ICU and IMCU units may occur based on need
- Candidates must be able to work 12-hour night shifts
- Must include details of EMR experience in application
- Profile must include a badge-appropriate photo
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU or stepdown experience required
- Strong neuro experience must be demonstrated
- Current BLS certification required
- Up-to-date resume with detailed work history and all employment gaps of greater than 60 days explained
- Skills checklist relevant to neuro ICU/IMCU nursing
- Two references from similar neuro experience within the last 2 years, preferably from supervisors or managers
- Certification card and Nursys license verification required
