Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with recent Epic and charge experience for a night shift cardiac telemetry unit assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 33-bed cardiac telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
- Floating is required as part of the assignment
- Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required
- Must be comfortable acting in the charge nurse role
- Candidates must wear solid black scrubs as part of the dress code
- No more than 7 days of requested time off are permitted, and none within the first two weeks of assignment
- Local candidates within 40 miles will receive a local rate
- Holiday and weekend coverage is required
- Block scheduling is not permitted
- Interview required as part of the selection process
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years recent TELE RN experience including charge responsibilities
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or AHA RQI only) required
- NIHSS Stroke Scale certification required (to be completed through Apex, Health Stream, or AHA)
- Documented recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months is required
- Degree from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
- Ability to draw blood and start/maintain IVs
